Always Watching

The eyes of the Lord are everywhere keeping watch on the wicked and good.

Proverbs 15:3 NIV

With so much going on in our country these days, it can get discouraging when we see things happen we don’t particularly like. We may think “Where is God, doesn’t he see what is happening?” According to today’s verse, the answer is, yes, he does know because he is watching. In fact, the Hebrew word translated keeping watch is that of a watchman guarding a city. God sees it all. That should be comforting to us. Therefore, we need not live in fear, but trust in the watchman.
