Sharper than the Sharpest Sword

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

God’s word is capable and effective to reach into our innermost being, to judge and discern our motives in all we do. We need to let it do what it’s meant to do, exposing us to what is really going on inside us. Only then will it change us.
