The One and Only

I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols. Isaiah 42:8 NLT

God’s glory, his honor, and majesty are his alone. He deserves it. God created everything and is life-giver to all (according to verse 5). He is saying that I am the one and only, I am not sharing or surrendering my glory to anyone or to any pagan idol.

Do we try to worship both God and something else? It can’t happen. Jesus said that no one can serve two masters…see Matthew 6:24. God must be our one and only.
